J. Redmond Corporation started in 1978 in Lexington, MA

Jay Redmond founded the J. Redmond Corporation in 1978.  He started in Lexington, Massachusetts with one backhoe and a six-wheel dump truck.  His only employee was his father, Jim Redmond, Sr.  A majority of the work consisted of additions, as well as sewer and water service work.

Since 1980, J. Redmond Corp. has been located in Acton, Massachusetts, and has grown to its present size.  They now employ a staff of equipment operators, laborers and truck drivers with an equipment base of excavators, backhoes, dozers, skid steer equipment dump trucks and screening equipment.

Jay is currently president of the company and Jim Redmond, Sr. is responsible for overseeing both the shop and the properties at the Acton location, as well as for keeping all the equipment looking like some of the best in the industry!
